Time to Renew FDA Food Facility Registration

This is a reminder for all food manufacturers and importers that it is time to renew your FDA Food Facility Registration. FDA shifted to a biennial registration policy back in 2014. Food importers are required to renew their food facility registrations on a biennial basis following FDA’s calendar. The biennial renewal period opened on October 1st and will remain open until 11:59pm on December 31, 2016. Failure to renew will result in expiration of the facility registration.

This requirement to renew the FDA Food Facility Registration applies to food manufacturers and importers regardless of how recently they created their registration. Unless you registered your food facility after October 1, 2016, you will need to renew your registration. Even those who just registered back in September 2016 will still need to renew their registration.

Please visit the FDA Food Facility Registration website to renew your registration ASAP.
