Additional Section 301 List#3 Exclusions Granted – January 31, 2020

The USTR granted additional List#3 exclusions on January 31, 2020. The list of items granted exclusions is quite broad (certain faucets, some furniture, a number of various types of lighting, and more). Please review these exclusions to see if any will apply to your products.

Note that the Section 301 List#3 tariffs became effective on September 24, 2018. Those earliest entries that cleared around that time will most likely have liquidated and soon will be reaching the 180 day time limit for filing a protest. Once the 180 time limit is reached, importers will not be able to seek a refund of duties through protest.

For a list of all List#3 exclusions, please visit the USTR website covering list#3 tariffs: https://ustr.gov/issue-areas/enforcement/section-301-investigations/section-301-china/200-billion-trade-action
